The Boys and Girls Club of Weld County discovered a 100+ year old building with a fun past, a roller skating rink. The historic, Warnaco Skate Rink closed years ago and is now being transformed into the City’s largest Teen Center. Much like the building’s history, the building’s structure is unique. The building is a large wooden Quonset hut. The large curving wood beams create a dynamic space for teens to learn, play and interact. The property allows for the Boys and Girls Club to expand as they grow the program with endless outdoor space ideas such as outdoor kitchen, graffiti walls, parkour area, and outdoor soccer field. The Teen Center is approximately 15,000 square feet and is across the street from a new high school. The two will create a symbiotic relationship for the staff and teens.
