The Northern Colorado Regional Airport sits in the heart of Northern Colorado while serving many cities of the region. The current terminal is over 30 years old and was designed for 19 passenger planes and the airport has longed for a new terminal facility. The new 26,600 square foot terminal will provide a state of the art facility for travelers. The architecture and materiality of the building is inspired by the history of the region and the appearance of a plane in flight. Cladded in local stone and oxidized copper panels the materials exude a richness and texture that in emblematic of the plains and foothills. The building will house new ticketing counters, TSA security check points, departure/arrival lounge, concessions, baggage claim, rental car offices, and an innovative outdoor patio for waiting passengers. The facility wants to allow for ease of travel with a focus on business, families, and tourism. The terminal facility will be a catalyst to increase air travel in and out of Northern Colorado.

This will be a LEED certified building.
